Spring Meeting: Role of Utilities in Economic Development

The Spring Meeting will bring together experts in utilities and economic development to share insights and discuss strategies for leveraging utilities as a driver of economic growth. The event will be an excellent opportunity to network with industry peers, gain valuable knowledge, and engage in thought-provoking discussions.

We have arranged some exciting events, including tours of El Paso Electric's Rio Grande Power Plant and Systems Operations, a lunch with the El Paso Electric CEO, and presentations and discussions from New Mexico Gas Company, City of Las Cruces Utilities (water and wastewater systems), and CenturyLink/Lumen.

Economic Development Professional Roundtable: What's Working? What's Not?

Join us for a roundtable discussion with your colleagues about what's working an what's not in economic development. The conversation will be led by Warren Unsicker, CEcD, Director of Economic Development and the Outdoor Recreation Industry Initiative at the City of Farmington.  Warren has over 15 years of experience in the economic development field and is one of a handful of Certified Economic Developers (CEcDs) in New Mexico. He is originally from Alaska, but now calls New Mexico home. He and his family spend much of their free time living up to the tag line for the area, "where outdoor lovers an active families thrive."

Economic Development Professional Roundtables are designed for economic development professionals as a venue for networking, sharing ideas, and helping solve each other’s challenges in an intimate forum. It is the perfect opportunity to meet with peers in a casual setting and discuss topics of interest.
