Grant County is located in southwest New Mexico, on the southern edge of the Gila National Forest. The county is home to numerous outdoor assets and thousands of miles of trails. A wide variety of terrains and the unique architecture of the downtown district have captured the hearts and minds of several local artists, who have formed an arts and cultural district that draws tourists from around the country.

Grant County is experiencing a renewed vibrancy in its economic development efforts and has recently received several large grants and capital outlay funds that has paved the way for exciting projects, including:

  • A new recreation facility

  • Trail masterplan

  • Entrepreneurial programming

  • Workforce development projects

The County is looking for a professional economic developer to run a newly-formed Economic Development Organization: the Grant County Workforce and Economic Development Alliance (GCWEDA). As the name of the organization suggests, it has a dual mandate of improving the region’s economy through workforce and economic development efforts.
